Adrian C. Ringold

Mason City ? Adrian C. Ringold, 96, of Mason City died Tuesday (December 6, 2005) at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM (December 10, 2005) at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 100 1st St. N.E., with the Pastor Patti Aurand officiating. Visitation will be held 6 ? 8 PM Friday (December 9, 2005) at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania. Burial will be held prior to the service in Elmwood-St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Adrian was born November 30, 1909 in Denison, Iowa the son of John and Dorthea (Lunau) Ringold. He graduated from Clemons High School in 1928. He was united in marriage to Elnora Twachtmann in 1937 and was married for 55 years. Adrian worked for the Iowa Highway Commission Sieg Company from 1933 to 1958 and also managed an Auto Parts Warehouse in Des Moines. He then worked for Schukei Ford from 1964 until his retirement in 1976. He was active in the Boy Scouts as a scout master, was a neighborhood commissioner, district commissioner, and was on the Winnebago Council Board of Directors. He was a member of the Masonic Harding Lodge #649, Shriners, High Twelve Club, Kiwanis, and a 68 year member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Adrian is survived by his son, Adrian Jr. and wife Roberta Ringold of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; grandchildren, John and wife Vicki Ringold of Iowa City, David and wife Lynn Ringold of Dubuque; and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ryan, Allison, Justin, and Ava. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elnora; son, Ronald; brother, John and grandson, Mark. Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory are in charge of arrangements. 641-423-0924.
