Alice M. Miller

May 3, 1923 — October 27, 2016

Alice M. Miller (Rodemeyer), 93, of Mason City, IA, died Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Mark Lavrenz of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Alice was born May 3, 1923, in Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Otto and Amanda Rodemeyer (Pralle). She graduated from Hampton High School in 1941, in addition she graduated from Hamilton Business School in Mason City. She was married to James R. Miller on June 7, 1947, in Hampton. She worked as a bookkeeper for Marshall & Swift over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where Alice and Jim served as Youth Counselor’s for the Bethlehem youth group.

Survivors include her son: Lee J. Miller and wife Marlene of Fountain Hills, AZ; granddaughter: Amanda of Phoenix, AZ; a brother: Marvin Rodemeyer and wife Jan; sister-in-law: Shirley Rodemeyer; and nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jim; sister: Imogene; brother: Arthur Rodemeyer; and nephew: John Miller.
