Amy Lou Holstad, age 84, of Mesa, Arizona, died Monday, August 1, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 26, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 North Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. James M. Magelssen officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Amy Lou Holstad Memorial Fund. Amy Lou Holstad was born December 17, 1920, in Clear Lake, Iowa to Royal W. and Erma M. (Paulson) Cary. She received her education in Jamestown, North Dakota. In 1940 she married C.E. ?Buck? Sheldon, he later preceded her in death in 1975. In 1982 she married Arnold ?Arnie? Holstad and in 1990 they moved to Green Valley, Arizona and then in 1995 they moved to Mesa, Arizona where they have resided for the past ten years. She was very loved and will be greatly missed by all. Amy is survived by her husband, Arnold, five daughters, Cathy and husband Dick Kelly of Elk Mound, Wisconsin; Patricia of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sally Sheldon of Aberdeen, Washington; Jananne Blankenship of Montesano, Washington; Joanne Stevens and husband Ray of Chattanooga, Tennessee; two sons, John Sheldon of Montesano, Washington, Jim and wife Mary Sheldon of Montesano, Washington; two step-daughters, Vicki Suhl and husband David of Sutton, Washington and Nancy and husband Scott Anderson of Des Moines; twenty-seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, sister, Doris Johnson; brother, Harold Cary. Major Erickson Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements (641)423-0924.
