Mason City Angie M. Diaz, 77, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the St. Josephs Catholic Church, 302 5th St. S.E., with Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with a Rosary service at 7:30 P.M., followed by a Scriptural Wake Service. Memorials may be directed to the Angie M. Diaz memorial fund in care of the family.
Angie was born May 30, 1933 in Elgin, Texas, the daughter of, Ben and Guadalupe Lupe (Mejia) Arispe. She was married to Jesse Diaz in Mason City to this union three sons were born. She was a homemaker at heart and loved taking care of her home and family. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, bargain shopping, dancing, Crafts and Diamond Jos Casino. Family was important to her and she enjoyed the time she spent with them. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Jesse Diaz Jr. and wife Kathy of Thornton, CO, John Diaz and wife Sandra of Mason City and Steve Diaz and wife Angel of Mason City; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Rachel, Darleen, Stefinie and Steven Jr.; one great-grandchild, Brody; siblings, Frank Arispe, Pete Arispe, Mary Starkey, Sylvia Jiminez and husband Joseph, Margie Marth and husband John, and Mary Ellen Ginder and husband John, and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jesse Sr. in 1999.

Memorials:
Memorials may be directed to the Angie M. Diaz memorial fund in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation:
