Berniece A. Barron, 91, of 324 2nd St. NE, died Wednesday (September 15, 2004) at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Avenue, with Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Berniece A. Barron Memorial Fund. Berniece was born October 21, 1912 in Mason City the daughter of Benjamin and Ida Belle (Quintard) Davis. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1930. Berniece married Stephen L. Barron August 19, 1942 in Mason City. During the war, Berniece worked at Damon?s Department Store. She also worked as a sales clerk at Lundbergs for 25 years. Berniece was a member of the First United Methodist Church and church circle. Berniece is survived by her a son, Michael Barron and wife Cynthia of Mason City; granddaughter, Hope of Georgia; sister, Ruth Conway of Mason City; several nieces and nephews. Berniece?s parents, husband, Stephen; brothers, Donald and Leslie; sisters, Maxine and Thelma preceded her in death.
