Bonnie E. Borchardt

Bonnie E. Borchardt 88, of Mason City passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, February 2, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Rev. Dan Gerrietts officiating.  Interment will follow in the Rock Falls Cemetery. Bonnie was Born April 2, 1935, to Andrew and Emma (Curtis) Bohl.  Bonnie was united in marriage to Dale Borchardt on October 3, 1954, at Mason City. The couple farmed near Plymouth, Iowa for a number of years. Bonnie is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

 
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Dale; daughters Vickie (Lee) Cornick; grandsons Ryan Brosz, Troy (Jocelyn) Cornick, great-grandsons Matthew and Logan Cornick. Pat (Joe) Meirick, granddaughter Melissa (Corey Straw) Borchardt. Chris Pixley and granddaughter Jessica (Dale Schmitt) Ask, great-granddaughters Ellie and Anna Ask, grandsons Dustin (Megan Nielsen) Pixley and Seth Pixley, son Mike (Nancy) Borchardt, granddaughter Alyssa (Andrew Hecker) Lucker. Two sisters Rosalie (Roger) Paulson, Karen (Bill) Edgar. Sister-in -law Ardis Moss and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
