NORA SPRINGS: Bonnie L. Marshall, 78, of Nora Springs, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at the Nora Springs Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Nora Springs United Methodist Church, 202 N. Hawkeye Avenue, with Rev. Jim Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2008 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Interment will be held at the Nora Springs Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bonnie Marshall memorial fund.

Bonnie was born on February 23, 1930 in Rock Falls, IA, the daughter of Rudolph and Marvel Hansen. She graduated from the Nora Springs High School in 1948. Bonnie was married to Howard Marshall on April 10, 1949 in Nora Springs. Bonnie was a member of the Nora Springs United Methodist Church, the Mason City Elks 375, and the UMW. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling. She was always looking to having a good time.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of Nora Springs; her son: Michael Howard Marshall (Shirley), their children: Kevin Gast (Brenda) and James Gast, their grandchildren: Logan and Chelsea Gast; her daughter: Debra Kay Rethamel, her children: Avery Lynn TenHaken (Nathan), Robin Renae Davis (Dustin), her grandchildren: Calyx TenHaken, Carsyn TenHaken, Whitney Davis; her daughter: Pennie Rae Benavides, her child: Billy Benavides. She is also survived by Debs special friend: Fred Feuring and his son: Wade Feuring (Kerri), and his grandchildren: Blake and Grant Feuring; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Cheryl Rider; several aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be directed to the Bonnie Marshall memorial fund.

Cemetery:
Interment will be held at the Nora Springs Park Cemetery

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Friday, October 17, 2008 at Major Erickson Funeral Home
