Boyd P. Stroud

MASON CITY Boyd P. Stroud, age 51, of Mason City, died Saturday, November 23, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 27, 2009, at Victory in Christ Free Methodist Church, with Pastor Larry Day officiating. Interment will be held in Grandview Cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri at 1:00 P.M. on Monday (November 30, 2009). Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. \r\n
Memorials may be directed to the Boyd P. Stroud memorial fund in care of the family.\r\n
Boyd P. Stroud was born June 10, 1958 in Hannibal, MO, the son of Byron B. and Rita Beulah (Ledford) Stroud. He attended school in Hannibal, MO. He worked for NIVIC in Mason City for many years, he then went to work at Comp Systems in Charles City for the last few years.\r\n
Boyd enjoyed going to the races at the I-35 Speedway, assembling model cars, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.\r\n
He is survived by his cousin, John and wife Leota Sears of Mason City.\r\n
He was preceded in death by his parents.
