Brandon Scott Lee Johnson

Brandon Scott Lee Johnson, 34, of Mason City, Iowa, died on July 7, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania. Visitation will take place an hour prior to service time.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Brandon Johnson.

Brandon was born Oct. 27, 1984 in Mason City, the son of Chuck and Jan (Schwartz) Johnson. He graduated from Ventura High School in 2003 and continued his education at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, IA, earning his degree as a Powerline Installer. Brandon had two children, Braedyn and Thomas, with Sarah Treslan-Johnson. Brandon learned his love to fish from his Grandpa Schwartz. This was a weekly event for many years. Brandon enjoyed having fish frys from his many catches. Brandon had a green thumb and started a vegetable garden every spring; he always had a good crop! Brandon was also an avid gamer. He loved to play video games, especially with his boys.

Brandon is survived by his parents of Sun City, AZ, two children, Braedyn and Thomas Johnson of Kanawha, IA, sister, Katrina (Josh) Hart of Waukee, IA and his significant other, Kate Miller, of Mason City, IA.

Brandon was preceded in death by his uncle, Dan Johnson, and his grandparents, Mary Jean and Harlan Johnson and Ed and Lois Schwartz.
