Channing R. Greer

Channing R. Greer, 24, of Mason City, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center-North Iowa.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave, with Pastor Linda Johnson-Prestholt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the funeral home.

Channing was born July 28, 1998 the son of Robert and Lisa (Faught) Greer in Mason City, Iowa.  He attended Mason City Community Schools.

Channing had a big heart and was always eager to help others.  He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family.  His bond with his brother Jarrik was unbreakable and the two did everything together.  Channing loved his job at Mason City Glass which allowed him to be outdoors quite often.  He loved target practice and shooting guns.  Also included in his favorite past times were going to water parks, working on cars and spending time with his dog, Stella.

Those thankful for having shared in Channing’s life include his mother, Lisa Greer (Michial); father, Robert Greer; brother, Jarrik Greer; grandparents, Roger and Donna Faught, Lois Greer; girlfriend, Ashley DeWaard; aunts and uncles, Doug and Cherie Faught, Craig and Lori Greer, Stacy Waner; and numerous cousins and extended family.

Channing was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert (Bob) Greer and uncle, Robin Faught.
