Charles W. Montgomery, 77, of Mason City, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Pastor Kent Mechler, Good Shepherd Chaplain officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Charles W. Montgomery Memorial Fund, in care of the family. Charles was born September 11, 1934, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Robert W. and Lucille H. (Tiedemann) Montgomery. Charles enjoyed putting together puzzles and sharing them after he was finished so others could enjoy them. He also enjoyed watching television. Charles also enjoyed being a resident of Good Shepherd, his home for the past ten years. He enjoyed spending time with his family in his earlier years and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles is survived by his siblings, Bob Montgomery of Santa Rosa, CA, Douglas Montgomery of Oceanside, CA, Jay (Barb) Montgomery of Burnsville, MN and Janice Shipman of Mason City, IA, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Rita. The family would like to thank everyone from Good Shepherd Health Center for the exceptional care that was given to Charles through the years.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Charles W. Montgomery Memorial Fund, in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation:
