Cheryl Shinn

Cheryl Shinn, 55, of Mason City, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011, at her home. A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Memorials may be directed to the Cheryl Shinn memorial fund, in care of the family. Cheryl was born August 5, 1956, in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Vernon Jr. and Helen (Tickle) Shinn. She graduated from Mason City High School. Cheryl was employed with Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. She loved spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed helping them with homework, making Christmas candy, and giving pumpkins at Halloween. Cheryl loved any kind of family get-together. She also enjoyed watching scary movies, playing games, visiting with loved ones, adding to her collectables, and watching WWE Wrestling on TV. She loved taking care of her pets. Cheryl was a kind and intelligent lady. She was always willing to help someone in need. Cheryl is survived and will be missed by her sister-in-law: Cindy Shinn of Mason City; nieces and nephews: Skyler Shinn, Cory Shinn, Dena Tyler and husband Brad and their children: Brandon, Michael, Chad Wicks and significant other: April Platts and their child: Uriah; Angela Keeling and her family, all of Mason City. She is also survived by an uncle: Donnie Shinn of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother: David Shinn.
