Clarence Conrad Johnson, 86, of 12 North Willow Green Court, died Wednesday (December 1, 2004) at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Mr. Steve Meyers of the United Church of God, Austin, Minnesota officiating. Interment will held at 4:30 P.M., Saturday in the Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery, Bricelyn, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa. Clarence was born February 23, 1918 in Bricelyn, Minnesota, the son of Christ and Nora Johnson. He was baptized and confirmed at Bricelyn Lutheran Church. He married Lillian Beaver on December 9, 1939 in Bricelyn, Minnesota. Clarence farmed near Bricelyn from 1939-1951, then went to work for Johnson?s Feed Supply in Northwood, before becoming co-owner of Hy-Cross Hatchery Company of Mason City, until retiring after 25 years of service. After retirement Clarence and his wife Lillian enjoyed golfing, fishing, dancing and spending their winter?s in Arizona and Texas. Clarence is survived by his wife, Lillian, daughter?s, Vivian and husband Don Achenbach of Seneca, Wisconsin, Mary and husband Peter Jorgensen of Decorah, Iowa, grandchildren, Mark, Mike, and Greg Sunde, Zach Jensen, Sara Nottestad, great grandchildren, Raymond, Marcus, Lane, Dallas, Savannah, and Joseph, brother, Allen and wife Edna Johnson of Janesville, Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elwood Johnson.
