Clarice E. Christensen

Clarice E. Christensen, 94, of Mason City, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain Hospice North Iowa, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Clarice was born April 30, 1922 the daughter of William and Ella (Ford) Bryant near Otho, Iowa. On August 10, 1945 Clarice was united in marriage to John M. Christensen at the First Christian Church, Mason City. To this union three children were born. After John retired the couple moved to Weslaco, TX where they resided for several years. Clarice then moved back to Mason City to the Willows upon John's death where she resided until being moved to the IOOF Home in February.

Clarice was an avid sewer and quilter. She loved doing needle work up until her eye sight no longer allowed her to. She was known by her family as the boss and there were no questions. She loved to plan and organize everything from family events to the get the parties at the Willows.

Those thankful for having shared in Clarice’s life include her children, Nancy (John) Ebbers, Keith (Sue) Christensen all of Mason City; three brothers, Burt (Dorothy) Bryant, John D. Bryant, Jim Bryant; three grandchildren, Lance (Sheila) Ebbers, Dawn (Lance) Siefken, Michael (Allison) Christensen; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Christensen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John M. Christensen; son, John Everett Christensen; grandson, Caleb Christensen; three sisters and five brothers.
