Clifford E. Oswald

Clifford E. Oswald, 79, of 190 South Grover Avenue, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at his home. Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 15, 2004 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1405 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City, Iowa with the Rev. Bill Poland officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Clifford E. Oswald was born February 18, 1925 the son of James and Mittie (Sinkhorn) Oswald in Freeport, Illinois. Clifford served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He later received an honorable discharge from the Army. He was united in marriage to Dolores Daws on July 26, 1947 in Freeport, Illinois. Clifford was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He had been the owner and operator of the Family Cycle Center in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for twenty years. Clifford will be sadly missed by his wife Dolores and their family. Clifford is survived by his wife of 57 years Dolores Oswald of Mason City; 3 daughters, Ellen Nowicki and husband Joe of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Karen Mohr and special friend Rod of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Cindy Leichtnam and husband Bob of Mason City; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one step grandson; 2 step great grandchildren; sister Virginia Adams of Freeport, Illinois; and brother, Jim Oswald of Freeport, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Betty, and one brother Leonard.
