Connie Faye Bockoven

Connie F. Bockoven, 72, of Mason City, died on Monday, January 27, 2020, at the MercyOne Medical Center of North Iowa.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave.

Interment will be at Elmwood - St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

Connie Faye Bockoven was born on August 3, 1947, in Osage to parents George and Irene (Weiland) Korte. Connie had two sisters Geraldine and Gertty. Connie graduated from Mason City High School. On July 11, 1985, Connie was united in marriage to Ken Bockoven. Connie worked for 15 years at Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center as a CAN. She also worked for Classic Cleaners and Newman High School both for 8 years.

Connie loved their three children Sherry, Mike, Matt and her four grandchildren, Tanner, Zack, Jordan and Autumn. Connie always said she was so proud of them all. Connie loved spending time with Ken gambling and riding on their motorcycle. The most important thing to Connie was God, family and friends.

Connie is survived by her husband: Ken; children: Mike (Roanne Holzwort) Prehn, Matt Prehn; grandchildren: Jordan Prehn, Autumn Prehn, Zach Prehn and Tanner Prehn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; mother and father in-law: Gene & Donna Volkmer; daughters: Sherry Prehn, Brooke Ewing; two sisters; step-brother: Steve Biddick; step-father: Frank Biddick; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
