Cora L. Kofoot, 79, of Mason City, died Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Rev. Kenneth Hatland, Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 P.M. Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Memorials may be directed to the family. Cora L. Rodberg was born September 29, 1924 in Fertile, IA, the daughter of Edward and Alta Mae (Jones) Rodberg. She graduated from Mason City High School and on October 4, 1946 she was united in marriage to Myrle Kofoot at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Cora was a member of the Mason City Moose Lodge and Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed embroidery and planting flowers in the spring, but spending time playing bingo with her sister and time with her family were always most important. Cora is survived and lovingly remembered by her children: Dennis Kofoot and his wife Muriel of Stoughton, WI, Ann Medlin and her husband George of Nora Springs, IA, and Karen Miles and her husband Pastor Tom Miles of Mason City; her grandchildren Tracy Kofoot, Kerri Kofoot and Jason, Lynane Kofoot and Steve, Brent Medlin and his wife Amy, Brenda Brierly and her husband Todd, Tom Miles Jr., and Steve Miles and Jackie; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother Stanton Rodberg of Mason City, her sister Lula Hodenfield, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
