Dale McCaulley, 80, of 667 Briarstone Drive, Mason City died Monday, (May 10, 2004) at Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday May 14, 2004 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Tom Healey, Chaplain, Hospice of North Iowa. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. preceding the service. Dale had donated his body to University of Iowa Hospitals and cremation will follow. Memorials may be directed to Dale McCaulley Memorial Fund. Dale was born July 20, 1923 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to H.E. and Marie McCaulley. He married Edna Robison on November 17, 1950 at her rural farm home near Garner. After retiring from Northwestern Cement Company in 1985 he continued to enjoy his hobbies of trapping turtles, fishing anywhere they were ?biting? and spending time telling stories with his buddies. Surviving family members include: his wife Edna, daughters Barbara Stewart and her husband Mike, Debra Boisen and her husband Dwight, and son Brian McCaulley and his wife Karin; grandchildren Kari, Kris, and Korey Peters, Meghan Shafer and great-grandchildren Eric and Joselyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
