Dann T. May, 77, of Mason City, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday (June 21, 2013) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Kathy Graves officiating. A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday (June 20, 2013) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Iowa. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com Dann T. May was born June 1, 1936 in Algona, Iowa the son of Tedd and Gertrude (Mullin) May. He attended schools in Mason City. He enlisted in the Army in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He worked as the Mason City Parks Superintendent for forty years until his retirement in 1998. He was a long-time member of V.F.W and Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed playing softball and played many years for the Butt’r Topp fast pitch softball team in Mason City. Dann started the River City Softball Hall of Fame with his friend Ron Wood and was inducted in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. His ready smile and blue eyes will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dann was a kind caring man, a very special man now peacefully with our Heavenly Father. He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Mason City; children, Dann May and wife Donna of Mason City, Jodie Ferch and husband Craig of Austin, MN and Michelle Moltz and husband Eric of Salida, CO; grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) McHenry, Cassie May, Jenna May and fiancé Justin Olson, Brittney May, Blake Michaelsen, Amy Ramsey, Beth (Sid) Kraske, Jordan (Leah) Ferch, Kaitlyn and Ryan Moltz; great-grandchildren, Gage, Gavin and Grayson Ramsey, Hudson and Emmit Kraske and Sean McHenry; sisters, Eileen (Kaye) Holding and Linda (Larry) Schisel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Rose May. Dann’s motto: The three most important things in life are God, Family, and the Green Bay Packers in that order.

Cemetery:
Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Iowa.
