David A. Shinn

David A. Shinn, 44, of 937 4th St. SE passed away Tuesday (July 22, 2003) at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Jeffrey A. Dahlin, Praise Community Church, officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Friday and continue one hour before the service Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the David A. Shinn Memorial Fund. David was born January 24, 1959 in Mason City the son of Vernon and Helen (Tickal) Shinn. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1977. David married Cindy Hendrickson November 2, 1985. He worked for Armour Company the past 15 years as well as part-time for Sears in the automotive department. He enjoyed his camper and bike riding with his grandchildren. David is survived by his wife; Cindy of Mason City, loving father of; Dena Tyler and husband Brad of Mason City, Chad Wicks of Boston, MA, Skyler & Corey Shinn at home and Angela Anderson of Mason City, devoted grandfather of; Brandon, Michael and Dylan Tyler, Sister; Cheryl Shinn of Mason City and 1 brother. David was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
