David E. Jones

David E. Jones, 62, of Mason City, passed away at his home on Friday, June 23, 2023.

A private burial will be held at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason City.

David Eugene Jones, the son of Denzil and Donna Jean (Boyd) Jones was born December 29, 1960, in Mason City. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1979. David co-owned a painting business with his brother, Dallas, and was a maintenance worker in several businesses in Mason City, and on the road. He was an avid Mopar fan, chronic tinkerer, and enjoyed baking, arguing politics, sporting bib overalls and rubbing elbows with the neighbors. 

David maintained many lifelong friendships and was always willing to help others and give advice. Some would say David was abrasive and he would say they were wrong! 

David is survived by his mother, Donna Jean of Mason City; three children; four grandchildren; and a special friend, Rhonda Box. He was preceded in death by his father, Denzil; and brother, Dallas Jones.
