D'Earl Thomas Selby

D’Earl Thomas Selby, 27, of Rockwell, IA, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. with Rev. Kenneth Gehling, Chaplain-Mercy Medical Center North Iowa officiating.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made out to the D’Earl Selby Memorial Fund.

D’Earl Thomas Selby was born May 17, 1991, in Corona, California to parents Michael and Michele Selby. D’Earl had many hobbies such as golfing, grilling, hanging out with family and friends, music and watching football. He enjoyed the Christmas trip to California with Lisa, Luke and Leo. Trips with his Grandma Selby. Trips to his Grandma Hodges’. Concert trips with friends and all the moving adventures.

D’Earl was a very caring and loving person. His smile and laugh not only could light the whole room but was very contagious. This is one of the most memorable things about him among many others.

D’Earl is survived by his parents, Michael and Michele; sisters, Lisa, Ashley and Jessica; nephews, Luke, Leo, Thomas and Sawyer; grandmother, Sandra Hodge; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Hodge; and paternal grandfather and grandmother, Thomas and Ruthmarie Selby.
