Donna J. Cordle, 58, of Plymouth, died Thursday, July 28, 2011. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, August 1, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia, Mason City, with Pastor Sean McRoberts officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Sunday (July 31, 2011) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Inurnment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Donna Cordle Memorial Fund in care of the family. Donna was born on April 9, 1953, in Mason City, the daughter of Donald and Pearl (Allos) Turner. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1971. On October 26, 1974, Donna married Bill Cordle at the First United Methodist Church. For many years, Donna worked at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, and most recently, Good Shepherd Health Center. Donna was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Donna was a talented seamstress and motorcycle enthusiast. Donna is survived by her husband of 36 years: Bill Cordle of Plymouth, her children: Kim (Wayne) Buscemi of Plymouth, MA, Jeff (Michelle) Cordle of Mason City, Ted Cordle of Mason City, and Amanda (Paul) Kapugi of Madison, WI; 4 grandchildren: Amanda, Matt, Ashley, and Alex; 1 great grandchild: Shamus; her mother: Pearl Turner of Mason City; 2 sisters: Marianne (Myron) Lunning of Mason City, and Pamela Turner Clear Lake; 1 brother: Michael Turner of Mason City; sister-in-law: Liz Cordle of Avon, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Donald Turner; grandparents: Alex and Cora Allos; in-laws: Ted Cordle and Ruth Oulman; step father-in-law: Charlie Oulman.
