Doris A. Gallagher, 76, of 816 South Louisiana, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday (December 19, 2006) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Ave, with the Rev. Kathy Graves officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 ? 7 PM Monday (December 18, 2006) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Doris A. Gallagher memorial fund. Doris A. Gallagher was born September 22, 1930 in Kensett, Iowa the daughter of Carl G. and Anna (Myre) Narveson. She attended Kensett schools and graduated in 1948. She married Lowell M. Gallagher on May 7, 1949 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to this union four children were born. Doris?s highest priority was her passionate faith in Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 55 years, where she was very active in the Martha Circle and always looked forward to the annual Bazaar. Doris was a hostess at the Hy-Vee East kitchen for 16 years, where she enjoyed socializing with her customers and also cared deeply for her customers and co-workers. She was an avid Hawkeye basketball fan and also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. She was also a member of the Inter Creek Club. Doris? family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Lowell ?Bob? Gallagher; children, Cheryl Hermanson and husband Bill of Mason City, Larry Gallagher and wife Nancy of Mason City, Lynn Gallagher and wife Holly of Quincy, Illinois and Julie Gallagher of Mason City, Iowa; grandchildren, Scott Hermanson and wife Heather of Mason City, Ryan Gallagher of Mason City, Shelby Dwyer and husband Mike of Clear Lake, Jason Gallagher of Mason City, and Jenny, Jeff, and Jonathan Gallagher of Quincy, Illinois; great grandchildren, Gavin Hermanson of Mason City and Quintin Masteller of Clear Lake; sisters, Clarice Dietrich and Grace Narveson; sisters-in-law, Lola Allen, Dode Tosel, June Pope and husband Wayne, and Margie Funk and husband Frank; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, and great granddaughter, Hannah Hermanson.
