Dorothy Halsor

Dorothy R. Halsor, 89 of Mason City died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at her home of natural causes. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 11, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 North Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Travis Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for Dorothy will be held from 5:00 PM ? 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or Trinity Lutheran Church. Dorothy was born on March 29, 1914 in Mason City the daughter of Homer and Sarah ?Maude? (Howe) Radcliff. She was a 1932 graduate of Mason City High School. She was united in marriage to Melvin J. Halsor on July 20, 1935 in Austin, Minnesota. For the last ten years Dorothy has lived at the Manor following the death of her husband Melvin J. Halsor. She is survived by her four children, Jerry Halsor and wife Margaret of Lakewood, Colorado; Richard Halsor and wife June of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; James Halsor of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Janice Anderson and husband Neil of Omaha, Nebraska. She has six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Merrill, George and Homer ?Babe? Radcliff.
