Dorothy Mae Stark

Dorothy Mae (Springer) Stark, 92, of Mason City, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the IOOF Home. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on May 2, 1930, in Mason City, Iowa to parents Neal and Johanna (Sampson) Springer. She attended school at the Mason City Schools. Dorothy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles J. Stark on February 15, 1956. Dorothy had two daughters from a previous marriage and three children with Charles.

Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed working with her flowers and her little kitty. Dorothy was a past member of Women of the Moose and the EB Club.

Dorothy is survived by Susan (Jim) Kingston, Martha (Roland) Straube, Diane (Dave) Myers; son-in-law, Ed Frank; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren.

Dorothy was welcomed into heaven by her husband, Charles; parents Neal and Johanna Springer; daughter, Marcia Kaye Frank; son, Mike Stark; one grandchild, seven brothers and two sister.
