Earl Calvert

Earl Calvert, 70, of Mason City, died Monday (March 15, 2004) at home. Graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Earl Calvert Memorial Fund. Earl was born March 15, 1934 in Mason City the son of Glen and Marjorie (Hudson) Calvert. He graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1954. Earl served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Marlene Miltenberger May 2, 1959 in Rock Falls. During his life, Earl worked for Jacob B. Decker and Sons, farmed in the Rock Falls area, drove a milk truck and most recently drove for Ruan Transportation retiring in 1996. Earl is survived by his wife, Marlene Calvert of Mason City; daughter, Linda Blakely of Mason City; son, Richard Calvert of Sioux Falls, SD; 5 grandchildren; sister, Audrey Nettifee of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Paul Calvert of Minneapolis, MN. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold and 1 grandson.
