MASON CITY ? Edna L. Lane, 77 of Mason City died Monday, May 23, 2005 at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday (May 27, 2005) at the Assembly of God Church, 1301 N. Carolina Ave., with the Rev. Clyde W. Harvey officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 ? 7:00 P.M. at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Edna L. Lane memorial fund. Edna L. Lane was born September 14, 1927 the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (Wilcox) Eygabroad in rural Manly, Iowa. She graduated from Trenton, Missouri in 1947. Edna was united in marriage to Harold A. Lane on March 9, 1947 in Trenton, Missouri. The couple moved to Mason City in 1947. Edna helped Harold through the years doing janitor work at McGladery and Pullen. She also cleaned several houses in the area throughout the years. Survivors include her husband Harold,of Mason City; daughter, Diana Sable and friend Jerry of Mason City, sons, Jim Lane and Pam Lane of Jackson, Tennessee, Steve A. Lane and wife Nancy of Mason City; daughter-in-law, Dixie Lane of Rockford; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Garl of Quincey; cousins, Claude Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ernest Dean Campbell of Caneron, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three half brothers, one sister, two half sisters and son, Lewis.
