Eloise Draper

Eloise Draper, 88, of Mason City, died Monday, September 29, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 3, 2014, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Ed Bard, Chaplain – Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place in the Belmond Cemetery in Belmond, IA at a later date. The family requests casual attire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Eloise Draper memorial fund in care of the family. Eloise was born December 8, 1925, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Sarah Chase. She graduated from Lyons High School in Clinton. Eloise was united in marriage to Gerald Draper on September 24, 1965, in Glenville, MN. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, the VFW and the local AFL-CIO. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge, the Eagles and the Elks of Albert Lea, MN. She worked at Mode-o-Day for 25 years and Roosevelt School Cafeteria. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and wintering in San Juan, TX. She also enjoyed playing horseshoes and has won trophies from Iowa, Minnesota and Texas. Eloise is survived by 2 daughters: Becky Peters of Austin, MN and Jean Scholl and husband Mike of Mason City; 2 step children: Larry Draper and wife Cheryl of South Jordan, UT, and Judy Huth and husband Bob of Las Vegas, NV – and their families; 3 grandchildren: Scott Peters of Forest Lake, MN, Chris Peters of Mason City and Angela Peters of Osage, IA; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2010; 1 brother; and 1 grandchild.

Cemetery:
Inurnment will take place in the Belmond Cemetery in Belmond, IA at a later date.
