Erma L. McIlrath

Erma L. McIlrath, 96, of Rockwell, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Rockwell Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Rockwell Cemetery, with Pastor Ken Livingston officiating. There will be no visitation. Blum was born April 16, 1916 in rural Rockwell, Iowa the daughter of Charles A. and Mabel H. (Zirbel) Blum. She attended and graduated from Rockwell High School. She was married to Russell A. McIlrath on April 14, 1968 at the Hanford Community Church. She was a member of the Hanford Community Church. Erma enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and being outdoors. She was survived by her sister, June Boyle of Milwaukee, WI; brother, Charles (Berniece) Blum of Thornton, IA; six nieces and one nephew. Erma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell in 1983; one sister, Rosemary, at the age of 4 and brother, Dean Blum in 2006.
