Erma Lou Smith

Erma Lou Smith, 82, of Mason City, IA, died Monday, December 14, 2015, at Good Shepherd Health Center. Per her wishes, her body was cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Erma Lou Smith memorial fund in care of the family.

Erma Lou Clark was born January 2, 1933, in Cerro Gordo County, IA, the daughter of Frank and Erma (Wetmore) Clark. On September 12, 1975, Erma Lou married Jerry Smith Sr. in Reno, NV. Erma enjoyed taking care of people and truly loved her career with Hospice and In Home Health Care. She also enjoyed crafts and taking care of her puppy “Missy”.

Erma is survived by her husband of 40 years: Jerry Smith Sr. of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Health Center for the loving care given to Erma Lou over the years.
