Ethel ?Lorine? Steinberg, 83, of St. Charles, Missouri formerly of Clear Lake, died Sunday (August 31, 2003) at St. Joseph?s Hospital West, Lake St. Louis. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Dean Hess, Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Ethel L. Steinberg Memorial Fund. Lorine was born June 14, 1920 in Billings, Montana the daughter of Gerhart S. and Ida Eva (Naiman) George. The family later moved to Mason City where at the age of 10 Sarah Mae (Fromm) and Robert R. McClintock became Lorine?s legal guardians. Lorine graduated from Mason City High School in 1938 and in 1971 received her Associate degree in Nursing from North Iowa Area Community College. She was employed by North Iowa Mercy Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for 10 years. In addition to nursing, Lorine was a homemaker, wife, mother and organ teacher. She married John Henry Steinberg June 26, 1954 in Mason City. They moved to Clear Lake in 1957 and after John?s death in 2000, Lorine moved to St. Charles County, Missouri to be near her family. Lorine is survived by a son; Robert E. Steinberg of Independence, MO, daughter; Bonnie Christensen and husband John of St. Charles, MO, Grandchildren; Sharai Steinberg Koons and husband Mark of Sedalia, MO, Jason Christensen and wife Sherry of College Station, TX, Erin Christensen Rachmiel and husband Alexander of Pittsfield, MA, Andrew Christensen of Columbia, MO, Great Grandchildren; Brendan and Kjesten Christensen of College Station, TX, Chelsy Koons of Sedalia, MO, Sister; Genevieve ?Jenny? Gray of Garden City, KS, several nieces and nephews. Lorine was preceded in death by her parents, legal guardians, husband, 3 Brothers; Alden J.H. George, Elmer C. George, George A.
