Frances J. Boone

Frances J. Boone, 97, of 1535 Meadowbrook Drive, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday in the St. James Lutheran Church Chapel, 1148 ? 4th St. S.E. with Pastor Paul C. Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Frances J. Boone Memorial Fund. Frances was born August 9, 1908 in West Fork Township near Dougherty, Iowa the daughter of John Wesley and Louise Jane (Jordan) Avery. She married Roy Boone March 8, 1928. Frances lived her entire life in the Dougherty and Rockwell area. In 1971, Frances and her husband retired from the farm and moved to Mason City. Frances is survived by a son, Lloyd Boone and wife Joanne of Mason City; granddaughters, Barbara Adams and husband Michael of Humboldt, Linda Boone of Forest City; great granddaughters, Tamara Gieber and husband Christopher of Davis, California, Miranda Adams, serving in Iraq, Trent Adams of Humboldt; 1 great great granddaughter, Kayla; sister, Olive Christiansen of Coulter; several nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; sisters, Myrtle Eichmeier and Mabel Helbling.
