Frances Peg Vermedal

MASON CITY ? Frances ?Peg? Vermedal, 78 of Mason City died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 20, 2005 at Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church, 2502 South Jefferson Avenue with Rev. Joel Dahlen officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue. Memorials may be directed to the Frances B. Vermedal Memorial Fund. Peg was born August 28, 1926 in Mason City the daughter of Walter H. and Nellie (Morris) Billings. She attended school in Mason City. Peg worked for Como Photo in Mason City for several years. She was united in marriage to Paul F. Vermedal on June 15, 1947 in Mason City. Peg was a lifelong resident of Mason City and a lifelong member of Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, family was always put first in her life. She is survived by her mother, Nellie G. Billings of Mason City; children: Terry Vermedal and wife Karen of Naperville, Illinois, Becky Hall and husband Tom of Mason City, Ric Vermedal and wife Jean of Mason City; grandchildren, Jenni Anderson and husband Mark of Nora Springs, Bob Hall and wife Angie of Mason City, Randy Hall and wife Julie of Ankeny, Aaron Vermedal of Naperville, Illinios; great grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan Hall; sister, Norma Jean Dye of Clear Lake; two sisters-in-law, Joanna Johnson and husband Marlin of Clear Lake and Donna Billings of Mobridge, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her father, husband Paul, two brothers, Ken and Morris.
