Frank J. Huzl 92 of Mason City, died Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services for Frank will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the WAYside Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia Avenue, with the Rev. Jim Stiles officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the WAYside Chapel on Tuesday. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Frank?s name. Frank J. Huzel was born October 1, 1911 the son of Frank and Frances (Jecmen) Huzl in Mason City, Iowa. He attended school in Mason City and graduated from Mason City High School. Frank work for Decker?s for many years. He was united in marriage to Joy Heard in Mason City, Iowa. Frank was a member of the Bohemian Lodge and First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his sons; Jack E. Huzl and wife Linda of Denver, Colorado, James F. Huzl and wife Cathy of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Emily Huzl of Atlanta, Georgia, Kara Huzl of Denver, Colorado, Angie Garris of Silent Springs, Arkansas; Mike Huzl of Charlotte, North Carolina; Chad, Dustin, and Christopher Huzl all of Denver, Colorado; a great grandchild, Wyatt Garris of Silent Springs, Arkansas, and a neice, Phyllis Murphy of Mason City. Frank was preceded in death by he parents, wife Joy in 1984, two sisters, Juliea Zemanek in 1994 and Helen Huzl in 2003, brother-in-law, Tony Zemanek in 1988, and a nephew, David Murphy in 1999.
