George Rusty Mohler

George ?Rusty? Mohler, 57, of 4104 Jonquil Avenue, Kensett, died Saturday (January 22, 2005) in Kensett. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Robert Cumings, Bethel United Methodist Church, Manly officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Mason City Veterans Memorial Association. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM till time of service Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the George ?Rusty? Mohler Memorial Fund. Rusty was born February 18, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of Cecil and Erla Mae (Francis) Mohler. He served in the US Army. Rusty and wife Julie were married October 22, 1976 in Dubuque, Iowa. He had been part owner of Grand Slam Sport Cards in Mason City and was currently owner-operator of Magic Carpet and Furniture in Manly. Rusty was an avid pool player and was ranked professionally. He enjoyed mentoring Danny, Fred and Matt in the game he loved. Rusty is survived by his wife, Julie of Kensett; children, Bradley Kiefer and wife Stephanie of Juneau, AK, Randy Kiefer and wife Anastasia of Juneau, AK, Shane Emmert and wife Polly of Davenport, Collette Perry of Mason City; 8 grandchildren; mother, Erla Mae Mueske and husband Stanley of Mason City; sisters, Toni Loftis and husband Gary of Mason City, Vicki Cox and husband Ron of Magna, UT, Sandi Arhart and husband Larry of Mason City; uncle, George Francis and wife Shirley of Havelock, IA; cousin, Marlene Anderson of Webster City as well as 3 other cousins; good family friends, Matt, Danny, Fred and Debbie Varner, Jamie Trappe. Rusty?s maternal & paternal grandparents: father, Cecil and grandchild, Hunter Perry-Pihl preceded him in death.
