Georgia Ruth Ludeman

Georgia R. Ludeman, 80, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, (February 17, 2007) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Pastor Patti Aurand of the First Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Georgia was born March 16, 1926 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of George R. and Avis (Pedelty) Ludeman. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1943. She attended Mason City Junior College one year and graduated in 1947 from Iowa State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She liked to travel, enjoyed nature, all kinds of needlework and loved animals, especially her dog Spot. She was a member of many organizations in Mason City over the years. She was a life long member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she was very active. She is survived by her nieces, Candice Marshall and husband Pat of Clear Lake, Pam Downing and husband Mike of White Bear Lake, MN, Kristine Gatewood and husband Steve of Brownsville, TX, and Joy Under Baggage of Rapid City, SD; sister-in-law, Carole Ludeman of Mason City; several great nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Ludeman.
