Gertrude A. Oeltjenbruns

Mason City, IA Gertrude A. Oeltjenbruns, 98, of Mason City, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Grace United Methodist Church, 200 14th St. N.W., with Rev. Keith Scott officiating. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Gertrude A. Oeltjenbruns Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Gertrude was born December 12, 1912, in Ackley, Iowa, the daughter of Pete and Martha (Bodde) Kramer. She attended school in Leonard and Little Falls, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to George W. Oeltjenbruns on April 28, 1932, in Owatonna, MN, and to this union came seven children. Gertrude enjoyed bowling in her younger years and playing cards at Grant Village. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Gertrude is survived by her children, Kenneth (Elaine) Oeltjenbruns, Lauretta Radcliff, Harlan (Marge) Oeltjenbruns, Larry (Judy) Oeltjenbruns, Marge Lerdon, Keith (Julie) Oeltjenbruns; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son, Duane Oeltjenbruns.

Memorials may be directed to the Gertrude A. Oeltjenbruns Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
