Grace M. Pearce

Mason City Grace M. Pearce, age 72, of Mason City, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with Father Kenneth Gehling Mercy Medical Center North Iowa officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association.\r\n
Grace was born on July 25, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Pasquale and Vita (Conigliero) Palazzolo. She graduated high school in St. Louis. She married James E. Pearce on January 2, 1960 in St. Louis. Grace was a Homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and collecting baskets and recipes. Making Christmas cookies was her specialty. Grace also loved to shop.\r\n
She is survived by her husband: James Pearce of Mason City; one daughter: Laurie Weber and husband David of St. Louis; two grandchildren: Jordan and Eric; one brother: Joseph Palazzolo and wife Mildred of St. Louis. \r\n
She was preceded in death by her parents.
