Grayson Kent Craun

CLEAR LAKE: Grayson Craun, 51, passed away Saturday December 5, 2015 at Opportunity Village, Clear Lake.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday December 10, 2015 at Opportunity Village with Pastor Rich Murray officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Memorials may be directed to Opportunity Village, P.O. Box 622, Clear Lake, IA, 50428. Grayson Kent Craun was born August 22, 1964 in Jackson, Minnesota the son of Kent and Janice (Friedland) Craun. He was baptized at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jackson and later became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.
Grayson received his education thru the Mason City Community School. In August of 1985 Grayson moved to Opportunity Village. He enjoyed going to band concerts, watching football and basketball games, parades, matchbox cars, carrying rope, bowling and being with his family. He had a good sense of humor and always loved to laugh. Grayson looked forward to and was always willing to walk the family dog. The dog was equally excited for him to take him for a walk. He participated and won ribbons in the Special Olympics. Grayson will be missed by his loving house mates and staff at Moon Valley Cottage.
Grayson is survived by his father, Kent Craun, sister, Crystal Cary, brother, Stace, nieces, Amanda Cary (fiancé Jesse Tonn) and Mariah Cary, nephew, Chris Cary (fiancé, Jesslyn Knutson), great nephews Alec, Westin and Ryker.
Mr. Craun was preceded in death by his mother, an infant sister, grandparents: Lester and Augusta Craun and Carl and Agnes Friedland.
