Greg Schneider, 46, of 10 Slate Court S.E., died Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday, March 12, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams with Rev. Jon Seda and Rev. Todd Schneider as concelebrants. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 4:30 PM at the funeral home, followed by a Rosary Service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa or Holy Family Catholic Church in memory of Greg Schneider. Gregory S. Schneider was born July 5, 1960 in Austin, MN the son of Conrad and Bernice (Boldt) Schneider. He graduated from high school in Rochester, MN. After graduation he attended Rochester VoTech. Greg married Anne Solberg on May 27, 1983 in Mason City, Iowa. He was employed as a Computer Systems Administrator for Holcim in Mason City. Greg was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bow hunting, scuba diving, biking and spending time with all of his family, especially his children, Sarah and Matt and wife, Anne. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Greg is survived his wife, Anne (Solberg) Schneider of Mason City; children, Sarah and Matthew Schneider of Mason City; parents; Conrad and Bernice Schneider of Palisade, MN; brother, Jim Schneider and wife Melanie of Clear Lake; sister, Carla Groebner and husband Jim of Inver Grove Heights, MN, brother, Larry Schneider and wife Jenny of Pella, Iowa; parents-in-law, Peggy and Vaughn Solberg of Mason City; sister-in-laws, Mary Isom and husband Bob of Vail, CO, Jane Tatone and husband Tony of Sioux Falls, SD, Kris Solberg and significant other, Justin McVey of Des Moines, IA, and Rita and husband Dr. Brian Manwiller of Davenport, IA; nieces, Anna and Ashley Groebner, Megan Schneider, Maggie Tatone, and Nicole Manwiller; nephews, Josh and Justin Schneider, Luke and Daniel Schneider, Alex Tatone and Luke Manwiller.
