Harold R. Tims

Harold ?Tiny? R. Tims, 90, of 1030 First St. N.E., died Friday (February 18, 2005) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Upon his wishes the body will be cremated and there will be no visitation. A private inurnment will take place in Elmwood-St. Joseph?s cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Harold R. Tims fund. Harold was born Septmeber 9, 1915 in Mason City, Iowa the son of Fredrick and Catherine Mary (Johnson) Tims. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1936. Harold married Barbara Jean Thompson on August 19, 1951 in Mason City. He worked for the Globe Gazette Newspaper for over forty years until retiring. Harold was a devoted husband, good neighbor and friend. Harold?s wife, Barbara, an infant son, parents, six brothers, and one sister preceded him in death.
