Helen Reynolds

Helen M. Reynolds, 90, of Mason City, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 11, 2011 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Steve Hansen and Rev. Keith Scott, Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the Helen Reynolds Memorial Fund.
Helen was born January 28, 1921 in Rock Falls, Iowa the daughter of Martin and Margaret Hinrichsen. She graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1938. Helen married George Page Reynolds November 14, 1941 in Rock Falls. Helen and Page later moved to Mason City making their home on South Vermont. She enjoyed taking care of her home, both inside and out. Some of her interests included bowling and dancing. Helen was also a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by her husband, George Page Reynolds of Mason City; son, Gary (Cindy) Reynolds of West Des Moines; 2 grandchildren, Aaron and Jayme Reynolds of West Des Moines; 2 sisters-in-law, Liz Hinrichsen of Rock Falls and Louise Hinrichsen of Osage; many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Earl, Don, and Robert Hinrichsen.
