Henry B. Fikse, 77, of 21 19th St. SE, died Sunday (November 2, 2003) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 507 S. Carolina Avenue, with Pastor Curtis DeLong officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to the Henry B. Fikse Memorial Fund. Henry was born June 25, 1926 in Holland the son of Ben and Juanita Fikse. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Army. He retired from Armour Foods where he worked for over thirty years. After his retirement, he worked many part time jobs in North Iowa. Henry was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Henry is survived by a daughter; Linda Santee and husband Gerald of Nora Springs, son; Larry Fikse of Nora Springs, four grandchildren; Brian, Kevin, Bobby and Brenda, six great grandchildren; Nicole, Bess, Emily, Zackary, Katie and Parker, step-children; Doug, Dennis, Sandy, Steve and Cindy, step-grandchildren; Courtney, Zachary, Casey, Nick, Adam, Pricilla, Melissa, Braulio, Steven and Teagan. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marian and brother, Cornelius Fikse.
