Ida Mae Hirsch

Ida M. Hirsch, 86, of Mason City, died Tuesday (November 2, 2004) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City . Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday (November 5, 2004) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Hospice Chaplain Tom Healey officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM till time of service Friday (November 5, 2004) at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa. Ida was born September 26, 1918 in Butler County, Iowa the daughter of Jake Alberts and Tina Alpha Hirsch and attended school in Butler County until her teenage years. Ida lived most of her life in Mason City working in the healthcare field. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and was very conscientious and kind toward others. Ida is survived by her sister, Anne Burke, Forest City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ida?s parents; stepfather; sister, Frances Troff, brother-in-law Hemme Troff and Melvin Burke, and a niece and nephew.
