Idella Nicholas Dukes

CLEAR LAKE:  Idella Nicholas Dukes, age 85, of Clear Lake, died Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Health Center, Mason City.  A private memorial service is planned.  Memorials preferred to Hospice of North Iowa and World Wildlife Fund. Idella Mae Dukes was born July 18, 1922 in Allison, IA, the daughter of William Hall and Viola (Folkers) Nicholas.  She married Harold Dukes in 1956.   Idella's passions included her children, her books, traveling to Civil War sites, and cats. Idella is survived by her children, Gary Dukes (friend Nancy Olson), Ken Dukes, and Lori Dukes; grandchildren Christopher Dukes and Brandon Dukes (w. Sarah Anne); great-grandson Riley Joel Dukes, brother, W.L. Nicholas (w. Mary Lou), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, sister Bonnie Schick, and daughter-in-law Carla Brown-Dukes.
