Iona P. Radcliff, 88, of Mason City, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Per her request, her body will be cremated. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Pastor Kathy Graves officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Iona Radcliff Memorial Fund.
Iona was born March 23, 1928 in Forest City, Iowa the daughter of Vern and Pearl (Brunsvold) Johnson. She graduated from Manly High School. Iona married Dale Radcliff April 17, 1954 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She enjoyed spending time with her family, preparing the family meals and playing cards, especially bridge and poker. Iona was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Iona’s family would like to thank the staff at the Good Shepherd Health Center for the care she received while a resident there.
Iona is survived by 1 son, Michael (Judy) Radcliff of Golden Valley, Minnesota; grandchildren, Brian (Shelly) Radcliff, Brent Radcliff, Tami Anderson, Joseph Anderson, Emily (Bill) Cranston, Nicholas Radcliff and Joshua Radcliff; great grandchildren, Samantha, Scott, Ian, Morgan, Billy, Hayley, Carley and Sophia; 1 brother, Raymond (Susan) Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 2 brothers-in-law, Cecil (Arleen) Radcliffe of Clear Lake and Gailerd Erickson of Des Moines; 3 sisters-in-law, Loretta Radcliff of Minneapolis, Michiko Radcliff of Minneapolis and Dolly Johnson of Mason City; several nieces and nephews.
Iona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale; son, Terry; daughter-in-law, Linda Radcliff and 1 brother, Hadley Johnson.
