Jack A. Everhart, 67, of Mason City, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 ? 4th St. SE with Pastor Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church, Hospice of North Iowa or the donor?s choice. Jack was born July 10, 1937 in Mason City the son of Harry and Opal (Brazel) Everhart. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1956. Jack farmed his entire life south of Mason City, where he moved with his parents when he was two years old. He married Mary Hanson November 11, 1962 at Pilot Knob Lutheran Church, Forest City. Jack was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. He enjoyed tinkering with old John Deere Trackers and NASCAR racing. Jack is survived by his wife, Mary of Mason City; son, Mark A. Everhart and wife Diane of Des Moines; step-granddaughter, Nicole Kock of Des Moines; sisters, Maureen Pals and husband Leslie of Mason City, JoAnn Bartusek of Mason City; brother-in-laws, Philip Hanson of Chanhassen, MN, Richard Hanson and wife Sandra of Forest City; nieces and nephews, Lee Toole and wife Jeanine, Cindy TeKampe, Steve Toole and wife Peggy, Christina Wendel and husband Tim, Lori Hansen and husband Andrew, Rachelle Bartusek, Chad Hanson and wife Marcy, Tanya Droessler and husband Tony, Kevin Ganseveld and wife Mary, John Ganseveld, Jodi Thomas and husband Daniel. Jack was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother-in-law, Tony Bartusek; niece, Renee Bartusek; Father and Mother-in-law, Irvin and Pauline Hanson.
