Jacqueline A. ?Jackie? Smith, 73, of 410-5th Street SE, died Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Private family bedside services were held with Rev. Emily Horrell, Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church officiating. Per Jackie?s request, no public services will be held. Her body will be cremated. Memorials may be given to Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church. Jackie was born February 13, 1934 in Cambridge, Minnesota the daughter of John and Doris (VanNote) Dobbe. She married Gerald ?Jerry? Smith March 16, 1985 in Mason City. Jackie worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. She retired in 1995 after years of caring for others. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jackie was a member of Our Saviour?s Lutheran Church. Jackie is survived by her husband, Gerald ?Jerry? Smith of Mason City; children, Jeff Hansen and wife Tami of Fort Meyers, Florida, Tim Hansen and wife Debbie of Bradford, Iowa, Jean Aten of Mason City, John Hansen and wife Vicki of East Peoria, Illinois, Steve Smith of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mark Smith and wife Shelly of Eldora, Iowa, Timothy Smith and wife Marla of Rockford, Illinois and Jolene Davison and husband Kent of Parker, Colorado; many grandchildren. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents.
