Katy, Texas: Janice Schubert, 94 of Katy, TX, formerly of Britt, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 Heritage Park Nursing Home in Katy, Texas. Funeral services will be held 9:30 AM Saturday (July 30, 2011) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Dan Gerrietts officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday (July 29, 2011) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Janice Myrtle Knoedler was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Galt, one of twin daughters of John and Cora (Willson) Knoedler. She graduated from Britt High School in 1935. She was united in marriage to Ewald Schubert on March 23, 1949, in Mason City. Her career consisted of raising their daughter and volunteering at church for many years. Following Ewald's retirement, they traveled throughout the US for eight years before making their home in Harlingen, Texas, to be close to their daughter and her family. They moved to Katy, Texas in 2001. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Karen Murawski and husband, Tim, of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Allen Murawski of Katy, Texas and Andrew Murawski of Katy, Texas; great-grandchildren, Dawn Murawski and Kory Murawski; sisters-in-law Alida Baack and Juanita Schubert; and many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her husband and her parents; twin sister Janetta Pierce; sisters, Keota Rasmusen and Dorothy Larson; brothers, Quentin Knoedler, Elmer Knoedler, and Kenneth Knoedler; brothers-in-law, Jack Pierce, Donald Rasmusen, and Donald Larsen; and sister-in-law, Velda Knoedler.

Memorials may be directed to the Janice Schubert memorial fund in care of the family.
Cemetery:
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
